Early Bird Price if you book now for New Wine, Sligo
New Wine is a wonderful Christian Family Holiday Conference held in July in Sligo each year.
It takes over nearly all of the IT in Sligo with accommodation for individuals and families in the excellent student accommodation called Yeats Village, which is a part of the campus. Over 2,000 people attended in 2017. New Wine was initiated by the Church of Ireland but families from all churches participate. Bishop Kevin Doran came and was warmly received on the Wed evening. My wife Anne and I attended for the week and enjoyed wonderful worship, good Speakers, a broad variety of Seminars on Defending the 8thAmendment, Marriage matters, Grief and Loss etc There is a wonderful programme for children from 0 to 19 and some 300 volunteers from North and South look after us for the week.
The Conference organisers would dearly love to have a lot more Catholic Christians. So please mark the diary, Sat 8th to 13th July 2018. Check out www.newwineireland.org I would love to bring 5 families from my Parish of Johnstown in south Dublin next year.
